Here is some terminology that I use, to relate to MP concepts:
bugometer: a soon-to-be-invented device to measure how many bugs you have
bugfest: when two or more people, unaware of any bugs, share and validate their bug-influenced thoughts
bug nation: a common location or setting for bugfests, e.g .... "Wow, that curezone.com is like bug nation"
bug out: when you have a brain herx and can't seem to make any sense
"It's bugs": what you say when hearing about people's health problems, or watching a medical TV show like House MD.

Mark,
You should write a new sit-com! Great terminology! Very satirically witty!
I'd never seen curezone.com before and your description is ABSOLUTE!!

Michele
I'm still laughing!

Great Mark! Humour is a big help.
My friend and I came up with a few months ago, in the tradition of The Terminator, I add The Herximator.
What about "cele-bug-ation" or "cele-brug-ation" (combination of 'bugs' and 'celebration') for when you are herxing (tolerably), but you are happy because you know the bugs are dying?
regards, k

Mark, those were great! I love humor and even at my worse have always seemed to keep my sense of humor about me! So thought you would all enjoy something I posted a year ago when I was in Phase I. I found this on a Sarc site (sorry, not my creativity) and adapted it to Th1! Enjoy!
- Th1: The worst you’ll ever feel looking great.
- Th1: If you know about it, you already have it.
- YES! I feel like crap! It’s called Th1.
- If you can read this, I’m probably sleeping. I have Th1.
- No, you’re not boring me. I have Th1. Then again…
- Th1: It won’t kill you…maybe.
- I have a disease called Th1… but you can kiss me all you want anyway.
- I know more about Th1 than my Doctor!
(wear it to your next office visit, watch’em fume)
- Th1? Someone you know has it.
- Th1: The other horrible disease.
- Th1: It only affects your whole life.
- Th1. It’s easier to learn about than pronounce.
- Th1. Hard to pronounce. Harder to have.
- I’m SARCASTIC! Another Fantastic Gal with Th1.
- I’m SARCASTIC! Another Fantastic Guy with Th1.
- Warning: LAND Th1 Feeding Grounds
- What’s Th1? Pull up a chair.
- Sick. Sicker. Sickest. Th1.
- SupercalifragilisticexpiSARCOIDOSIS If you’ve ever heard of it, you know its quite atrocious!
- Everything modern science knows about Th1 is on the back of my tee shirt.
(back of shirt is blank)
- Th1 rhymes with I FEEL LIKE SH*T
- Th1 is my disease. The LORD is my physician and MP is my Rx.
- “Do it your-own-damned-self.” I have Th1.
- Th1: It’s like other crippling diseases, but without the attention, sympathy, funding, or treatments.
- I’D RATHER BE SLEEPING I have Th1.
- Ask a DOCTOR what Th1 is and watch them BRAIN FART.
- Th1 is INVISIBLE MISERY
- Th1 is never having to say “I feel good”
- I’d tell you about my Th1, but I’m too tired and out of breath.
- Th1: Imagine having the flu… every day of your life.
- I’m not breathing heavy because you’re sexy. I have Th1.
- Th1 is making me HOT. Not YOU.
- I have Th1. Ask me what’s messed up today!
(100 little check boxes with symptoms)
- I have Th1 and I STILL look better than YOU!
- I was diagnosed with Th1 and all I got was this lousy bottle of Prednisone. (I truly think this could be one of my favorites!)
- Th1: Suffering never looked so good.
- How bad is Th1? Here. Let me beat your repeatedly with this ball-peen hammer and then you’ll have half an idea.
- “I’m sorry, have you met my lymph nodes?” Th1…because bigger is better.
- YOU’RE LUCKY I SHOWED UP TODAY. I have Th1.
- MY Lymph Nodes can beat up YOUR Lymph Nodes. I have Th1.
- “I have a very serious disease called Th1. Can I have a free beer?”

Deb,
Does this site sell t-shirts? I'd love to wear some of these to work!

Deb,
These are really good. A T-shirt with the "TopTen" would be great. (An MP fundraiser!)
#1 Th1: The worst you’ll ever feel looking great.
I just went out with some people on Friday night who know I've been really ill, but who haven't seen me for a while. And because of being ill, I lost about 35 pounds. Your #1 listing is exactly what they said, "You look great!" Geez, how do you reply to that? "My Th1 diet is one you should try?" OR "The IP I feel in my spine right now is so worth it!"
I suppose unfortunately statistically 2 out of the 4 of them will be trying my "diet," they just don't know it yet. And I truly don't wish it on anyone.
Thanks for sharing the list!
Michele

Got to work on my english composition skills ....
What I meant was ...
Does this other site sell t-shirts?
Makes me wonder what else I've said backwards lately ... can I claim brain fog retrospectively?

"Cele-bug-ation" .... that's a good one.
Reminds me of the MP LOLCat cartoon:

Heh Mark,
I love this cartoon...were you the one who posted it awhile ago? Anyway, I have copies hanging on my fridge, in my bedroom and by my computer. It's just a great cartoon and when I was struggling in Phase I it always cheered me up to see somebody else herxing with me!!!!
Chris, No the site doesn't sell t-shirts...Top ten t-shirt would be great with Th1 on it...as people would ask what is Th1....and then we would have an opener!

Michele,
Isn't it challenging when your insides are screaming with this disease and the outside looks so darn well?! There were times I was literally dragging myself from Point A to Point B and would have someone tell me how good I looked! I finally learned to answer "Wish I felt as good as I look!" It seemed to get my message across with as much grace as I could muster.
I had much more facial edema with my first flare in 1990. When I see pics of myself I can see the swollen cheeks, glassy eyes and overall ill look I carried around. This time around, since off Prednisone, my face looks so normal it is hard to believe I've been so sick!
Try my one liner....it always made me feel better! Deb

Hey Deb,
Thanks, I needed a better "one-liner." My joke about using narcotics (vicodin) to be able to show up to work was just not timed right or something...people always became uncomfortable. Thank goodness for Benicar! I rarely need 1/2 a vicodin at all now! A huge difference from pre-MP.

Joyful
Wow, I love "cranky pants" I've not seen that one...thanks for sharing.
My husband and I had a really rough go a couple weeks ago. He farms 160 acres this time of year, along with working a seven day supervisor job at a big steel mill on the afternoon shift. When I am not feeling well, it just catches up with me, his absence. When I was flying, I was ok because I was off doing my own thing....I wrote him a note last week and asked for a little patience...now I can sign any notes like this, Love, "Cranky Pants".....whoo hoo! Love it! He will surely get a kick out of that one!

Does anyone else find it "aNoIRing" to never have the right strength of NoIRs at the right time! Or how aNoIRing it is to keep the lenses clean?
This is way corny...but I can't resist.
