I'd wear it proudly.
And it's less offensive than my other idea of having a tattoo on my hiney that says Dr Marshall saved this.

Hello all who have been following this thread!
Just a note to let you know that I haven't forgotten the work to do here...I got a bit distracted with a fundraiser at work for one of our Captains. His wife is 28 and has recurring melanoma. Her melanoma was first detected 5 years ago on her ear and has come back now in her liver, lungs and chest wall. Dave and his wife have a two year old son, so it has become important to help them in any way we can as they will be traveling to Texas for treatment. We are having an EBay fundraiser and I'm helping list items through the summer.
As we all know our energy is limited...so I'll be back at it here with this MP project by the fall....
Thanks! Deb

Some reason when I try to vote, I get the response that I am not allowed to, but yes, I am interested and would purchase MP gear.
Thanks Deb for all your work. Can I help?

That would be great to have some help! One of the items that I have had on my mind to check prices on are the stretchy silicone wristbands. If you are up to doing some research on these, I would appreciate it. Colors...how to market...cost etc...let me know! Since there are so many on site who are represented by many different diseases that fall under the Th1 category, shoud it be something that we create specific to the MP? For example, sarcoidosis is a purple wristband, yet I've seen them in other colors.
My thoughts, if I may just throw this out here...was to list the "illness" on the band as autoimmunity research--choose a color- and include the mp website! Thank you! Deb

I am very happy to help. I consider myself slightly creative. I've taken classes in architecture, designed our current house plan, worked for a designer, and I used to make glass beads with a torch, and solder in jewelry design, etc...and some how I have become the family "hair cutter", and the "paint color consultant." : ) Also, my husband works for a huge advertising agency and is a creative director, 3D animator, illustrator, and motion designer. He's also scored a film, and we both play several instruments. You could say we are "cursed" by creativity, but we keep life interesting. But then there are the other basic things we just can't figure out.... like how to do taxes and keep a clean house. ; ]
But bracelets... I can help with for sure! Woo...and coffee mugs! (Did I mention I'm also a certified coffee barista?) LOVE coffee mugs!
I'll get right on it and let you know what I can find.
Is purple the set "signature color" for ARF? Do they/we want to stick with the current logo or start a new one? Do we want to promote the MP or ARF? Sounds like you want to individualize illness, or should we maybe put them all under the umbrella term of "Th1 illness" to get people asking more questions? I'll think about these questions. I know you are quite busy right now, and you don't have time to "critique" of answer questions. So I'll just pass on ideas and information to you as I think of it or find it. Take what you want, toss what you don't.
Currently on my mind:
"Debugged by Trevor" (someone else came up with this as "Trevor debugged me" )
"What's lurking in YOUR phagocytes?"
"My future's so bright....I have to wear NoIRs" : )

leanne...I love your energy! BTW...creative people aren't expected to keep neat houses, that would contradict your nature and mine!!!! I'm also very creative and I go in circles trying to figure out how to keep things uncluttered... clean, yes...neat and uncluttered no!!

I just came across some glow in the dark silicone bracelets. Seems this would be appropriate for us on the MP. : ) They are white"ish" and then glow to light green. They can be engraved (debossed) and the letters filled in with purple (or whatever color). I'm waiting on a quote, but also for some other concoctions. : )

Since you guys were talking color, I was thinking "see through." That is, seeing through all the medical b.s. to recognize chronic illness as the disregulation of the VDR or seeing through all the Vitamin D hype to the fact that Vit D is a secosteroid. And also that we are "clear" that Koch is dead.
I vote for Th1 at the thing to promote, as in, "I have Th1 disease, and I'm seeing clearly for the first time in a long time."
Any hoo, just my thoughts.

Good input. I like that idea. I actually did see "transparent" as a color choice for the wristbands. : )

Hi!
I've been out of town, and going again until Monday, but working on a couple things.
Next week, I'm going to order a few mock ups of armbands and see how they look.
Also, I am looking into making "info cards" you can carry in your wallet. It is quite often I find myself in a conversation about the MP and someone wants more information for themselves or someone they know. I'm always scrounging around looking for something to write down the website, etc. It would be nice to have a small card to hand out, and if necessary, write my name and number on the back if they want to chat about it.

Good idea, the card to hand out... if it was formatted to print onto pre-scored (avery) paper/cardstock, even better.

| I would love a wristband! I also like the "bright future/Noirs" saying. The card to hand out is a great idea. People are always interested when I talk about the MP until I mention that I've been holed up in my house for 15 months. Then they just look at me like I'm crazy and don't want any more info. Maybe I could just slip them a card and hope for the best!

Karna,
I think you're right about slipping someone a card with the website. Once people get on and start reading about the protocol it is pretty amazing. It is just not as easy to try to "explain" or so I've found. I seem to have better luck with saying, "my alternative was to take steroids which I knew would end up killing me"!
