"Without the human community,

one single human being cannot survive."

~Dalai Lama

I found this quote to be so appropriate as I read through all of your posts and recognize the constant support that is shared here with so many in the MP community.  For me personally, I know so many times this support of one another has kept me pushing forward in my quest for wellness!

 My thanks to all of you!

Life is short. Break the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile.

HI DEB & ALL

This is Fred in WV.  That was a great quote of the day.  Our local news paper has a quote each morning.  Here is the one for today.  I think it fits the ones on the MP.  It is a quote from Marie Curie.

    "NOTHING IN LIFE IS TO BE FEARED, IT IS ONLY TO BE UNDERSTOOD.  NOW IS THE TIME TO UNDERSTAND MORE, SO THAT WE MAY FEAR LESS."

Remember, we are all in this together and I am pulling for us.

Your friend in Sarcoidosis

Freddie

Live your life so that when you awake

 the devil says

 " OH NO, (s)he's awake"

Everyday courage has few witnesses. But yours is no less noble because no drum beats for you and no crowds shout your name.

-Robert Louis Stevenson

Thank you to everyone for your encouragement!  It can get a little lonely getting through the MP, but for the stories, support and companionship given so freely on these boards.  Thanks for all the inspiration and uplifting.

                        Don’t Quit!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging is all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit –
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won, had he stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup.
And he learned too late when the night came down
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out –
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt -
And you never can tell how close you are;
It may be near when it seems afar.
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit;
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.

Just came across this quote in an e-mail...

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's learning to dance in the rain!

This poem seems just right for us MPers at Christmas:

Between Darkness and Light

It is within the darkness and the silence
That the magic of Christmas starts;
Somewhere between the glimmer of lights
And the first breathless moment
When children come
Stumbling like new-born angels
Into morning light.
Within the darkness and the silence
We sit, watching wonder
Evolve into form; where we
Enter the ringing silence
In which the first bells of Christmas
Sound the music of the soul;
Where the morning joy begins
With a single carol
To a half-forgotten tune.
It is here, between the darkness
And the light,
That we wait, uncertain,
Seeking the moment
That challenges us to believe
In a freshly minted miracle
Born every Christmas Day.

By John Matthews

Warmest wishes for the festive season to one and all
