I am phase 2, MP day 135 and the most herxing and uncomfortable I have experienced was back in phase 1 and a few days of temperature dysregulation where I would run from 104 degrees down to the shivvering fits.

Most of my symptoms are fatigue, tinnitus, some brain fog and like that.

Recently last week I forgot or slept through 2 doses of Benicar.  I experienced no nasty herxes except for possibly some leg cramps and/or sleep disturbances, which I have experienced before while on the every 6 hour regimen.

I have searched the forum but for a word like 'Benicar' It's needle in haystack stuff.

I see that there are lots of members running on the 8 hour schedule.

My question is........Is it safe for me with all tolerable IPs to drop down to 8 hour dosing just to see what happens?

I have a high pain threshold.  It would be gratifying to have a real wallop of an IP just to know that I am on the road to normalcy.

The 25% drop in expenses would help an old guy paying out of pocket.

Stoney,
I would venture to say that if you are vigilant and use an alarm system that you cannot sleep through you should be okay with benicar q8 hrs. The problem is this leaves you with no room for error. The extra benicar helps many with intolerable IPs and also Is reassuring that the blockade is always intact.
But it is expensive so sometimes one must make compromises.
Have you looked at ordering benicar online....there are some pharmacies overseas that sell it for a good deal less. (I just saw that NorthwestPharmacy.com is selling 90 pills Olmesartan (generic form) for $58.)

From Admin: Also try CanadaGeneric.com and  PlanetDrugsDirect.com

Thank you for your reply.

I am with PlanetDrugsDirect.  My first order (360 pills, get it?, 4 per day for 90 days was $324.00.

My last (7-7-08) was for 360 again which came to $232.00.

That is remarkable considering the devaluation of the USD.

I never took a name brand Benicar so I don't know it they are any better.

I will take a whack at the three times per day over the 4.  Maybe that way, wifey will move back into our bed.

She got really tired of me waking her at 2300 and then again at 0500.

If it works out, I can sneak into bed at 2300 quietly and she is usually up by 0700.

It could be a boon.

Stoney, many of us who have done Benicar x4 still extend the night stretch to 8hrs to get a good night's sleep... and make for a happier spouse! ;)

So, I am now, today at L2C3D9 and for the last three days I have been on an 8 hour regimen.  The first two days I sensed a feeling of potentially more energy.  That may be coincidental.

Today (last night) I experienced some sleeplessness, toss and turn, and like that but for the most part I am doing OK.

It appears that the regimen of 0700 (when the alarm goes off) and 1500 (when my cell phone alarm goes off) and 2300 (after Letterman's top ten list) is going to work.

So far, so good.
